Tambourine Mountain Wedding photos

It’s no secret, Tambourine mountain is beautiful. I can see why it is such a popular wedding destination.

The venue options and photo locations are endless. Over the past couple of years, I’ve shot many weddings on the mountain and spent many days driving around to find some beautiful locations for couple shoots.

With the mountains beauty come crowds of people, especially at sunset so here is how I get the most for my couples.

Number 1

I get there an hour early.

The weather on the mountain is so unpredictable, on the drive up it could be pouring rain and a hot summers day at the top. Depending on the weather I will plan what locations I will go to.

The photo above is on the main road, when I arrived on the mountain I spotted all the leaves falling and marked it on my photo map for that day. I love it because it highlights what time of year it was and adds a story to the photo.

Number 2

I read the room, the cuties above were nervous about taking photos.

I knew jumping straight to making out at hand gliders lookout was not going to work well so we jumped in my car and hit the adult fudge shop for some really good ice cream.

Worked a treat, knowing the mountain gives me the flexibility to go with the flow and change my road map for each couple.

Number 3

Find the crowds then keep going.

I like to finder quiet spots for couples, once you are in a wedding dress or suit you’re going to turn heads, that fame and popularity is not for everyone. Right after the popular hand gliders lookout is another beautiful spot just off the main road. I like to pop the couple on the rock and let them cuddle in peace and privacy, well i’m there perving and snappy but they get used to me :)

Number 4

Sometimes the sun can be quite harsh, I always have a backup plan while you wait for that sun to chill out a little.

If it’s not eating ice cream it’s taking a cute stroll here in the rain forest or both. This is between about 500m past Hampton estates. wines ( a favourite venue of mine check it out both of these couples were married there )
